Watoto OVC (Orphans & Vulnerable Children): this project supports children who are coming from poor families, orphans and disables to get education for a better life. KISEDET supports children from primary & secondary education, colleges, VTC (vocational training center) and also University level to pay their school fees, or to provide them uniforms, and school material.
For the children who are living with grandmother or grandfather that cannot work, KISEDET provides to them also food and health services. For all the children and youth supported, KISEDET provides them the health insurance.
Through this project, KISEDET supports also the government schools in distributing of: notebooks, test books, ream of paper, chalks, desks, and (when we receive specific budget) also to built and renovate classrooms.
In all this years KISEDET gave 850 desks to various government schools, and has built 48 classrooms and 15 offices.
